Wonder Boy Jaxon Buell celebrates Christmas by sitting on Santa’s Lap
A US toddler, Jaxon Buell, who was born last year without a fully formed brain, has already celebrated Christmas with Santa. Earlier this month, the wonder boy went to see Santa with his parents.
Earlier, Jaxon’s father posted a picture of the boy sitting on Santa’s lap. Brandon and Brittany Buell, parents of Jaxon, took the 1-year-old boy to meet Santa. Brandon Buell, 30, said it’s about 17 months and Jaxon is doing well. The boy had the best stretch of health family has ever seen him be in, he added.
Jaxon Buell took birth on August 27 last year with an extreme brain malformation, known as microhydranencephaly. It is a developmental abnormality marked by incomplete brain and skull formation. The National Institutes of Health (NIH) said it’s a very rare condition and doctors don’t have any cure.
The couple took the infant to meet Santa on December 6 at the Mall at Millenia in Orlando. Brittany shared an image of Jaxon sitting on Santa’s lap on Facebook with a caption “Jaxon was a little sleepy when he met Santa, but that Santa was the best we’d ever seen— he knew exactly how to sit and hold Jaxon. They had a conversation and we were not privy to know what they talked about, but it was a very touching moment”.
Currently, the boy depends on a feeding pump, but the Buells believe there will be a day when Jaxon will kick that pump.
