Women will be more fertile in 40s, says study

Women-More-Fertile-40According to a recent research, as women these days are getting more likely to marry and settle down at a much later age than what was a norm before, their ability of bearing children in their 40s are becoming better.

Nowadays women are reluctant to settle down and reproduce until later in life, and as many women wait until they are older to give birth to children, the women with long lasting fertility genes are successful in reproducing.

And with the extension of the average length of fertility, their genes get passed on to their offspring, thereby confirming that women will become more fertile in their 40s.

Around 1,591 women's marriage patterns has been observed by the scientists and researchers and it has been noticed that in today's society women do not go for childbearing or marriage until they are older. Consequentially, the natural selection which maintains the fertility at young age can get weakened thereby increasing the relative strength of natural selection in old-age fertility.

Childbearing still being the norm in modern society but increasingly at a later age where fewer women have the ability to reproduce, the evolution of lower fertility is being expected.
