Washington, November 12 : Whoopi Goldberg wants to be a documentary filmmaker and has signed a deal with Discovery Channel that will make her one.

The actress-comedienne-TV host, under her production company ‘Whoop Inc.’, has inked a development deal with Discovery Emerging Networks - the organisation behind the Discovery and Science Channel.

The Oscar-winner is set to work with her production partner Tom Leonardis to develop series of which at least one will broadcasted by the network, Variety reports.

“Since I''m really curious about the world, what better place for Tom and me to exercise this interest than at Discovery?” Contactmusic quoted her as saying.

Whoopi is amongst one of only thirteen people who have won an Emmy, a Grammy, an Oscar, and a Tony Award and in 1990 became the second African American female performer to win an Academy Award for acting. (ANI)
