West Ham striker Jarvis poses for UK’s most famous gay magazine
London, Jan 4 : Premier League club West Ham United striker Matt Jarvis has posed for the cover of Britain''s top most gay magazine in an attempt to eliminate one of the game''s last remaining taboos.
The England footballer is just the third footballer to appear on the cover of Attitude in its 19-year history with former Manchester United striker David Beckham (2002) and Swedish international Freddie Ljunberg (2006) to have appeared before.
Jarvis said that homosexuality was now everyday life and not something that''s going to be a shock for the football fraternity, the Independent reports.
Jarvis added that there are many gay footballers in the game but when they decide to actually come out and reveal this, it would be a different story.
The striker added that it must be tough for the gay footballers to reveal it with everyone, but added these days’ people’s attitude towards gay people is much better than earlier. (ANI)
