We are a Mobile Device Company, Says Apple COOApple's COO Tim Cook has said that hassle-free integration of Apple's iPhone hardware and software is a clear indication that only a few IT companies can manage a mobile platform like Apple. Apple has done it quite comprehensively.

Answering to the question, whether Apple considers itself as a mobile device company, Tim gave a affirmative reply. He was addressing at the Goldman Sachs Technology and Internet Conference in San Francisco yesterday.

Mr. Cook also added that the Apple's iPhone has generated an ample amount of revenue despite the threats of recession and the two products have uniquely positioned themselves. Mobile business has become the prime competence of the company. The company has earned approximately $15.7 billion in revenue in the previous quarter.

And further more according to Cook, Apple has sold more than 40 million iPhones and 35 million iPod Touch devices till now due to its marvelous integration of software and hardware. As a mobile company, Apple has collected the largest revenue over some great names like Sony, Nokia, and Samsung. Cook asked the industry not to hesitate considering Apple as a mobile device company.
