Water worshipped as nectar in Uttar Pradesh

Lucknow, May 30 : Blind faith has led people in Uttar Pradesh’s Muzaffarnagar District to visualize water dripping from the roots of a Lord Shiva Temple as nector.

People started terming the water as nectar after a pit was dug four weeks ago where roots of a tree were found from which droplets of water started dripping.

"We have come here because we heard about this from many people. I also came here to get well. There are hundreds of people gathered here. The water tastes like nectar," said Baby, a devotee.

Kulveer Singh Pundir, another devotee, said he had come with his ailing wife.

"The major reason for my visit to this place is that my wife is not well. She feels pain in her body. I have brought her here to get her cured. In Indian society devotion plays a very major role and it’s said that incurable diseases can be cured by mere devotion towards God," said Pundir.

"I had pain in my body. I drank this holy water thrice and now I am feeling much better and not feeling any pain in my body," confirmed Chamin, another devotee. (ANI)
