Warner stars in Sunrisers Hyderabad's 15-run IPL win over Mumbai Indians

David WarnerSydney, May 1 - Australian opener David Warner's top score for Indian Premier League (IPL) side Sunrisers Hyderabad has led them to a 15-run victory over the Mumbai Indians on Wednesday at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.

The two-point win lifted Hyderabad to sixth place in the IPL standings, while Mumbai has failed to rise above its last-place eighth spot.

According to the Sydney Morning Herald, Warner put on 65 in 51 balls, firing off four sixes, and smashing an above-waist no-ball straight into umpire Kumar Dharmasena's shoulder, although he eventually fell to a Corey Anderson ball in the 19th over.

Meanwhile, Warner's Australian teammate Adam Finch earlier got Hyderabad's innings off to a quick start after Mumbai, which was chasing a total of 176 in a bid to win their first game of the season, won the toss and sent the Sunrisers in to bat.

Although Mumbai's number five Kieron Pollard put 78 on the board, but it was not enough to pull out a win, and the side finished 7-157, the report added. (ANI)
