Virgin Mobile announces double-data offer

Virgin Mobile announces double-data offerFollowing Vodafone’s footsteps, telecom services provider Virgin Mobile has confirmed that it would offer double data on selected postpaid plans as part of a Christmas promotion.

Virgin Mobile has announced that it would double the regular data allowance for subscribers of its $60 and $90 postpaid plans, as well as the equivalent BYO plans.

Virgin’s $60 postpaid plan will offer 3GB of data, while the $90 plan will provide 6GB of data. Currently, the $60 and $90 postpaid plans are offering 1.5GB and 3GB of data, respectively.

Derek Cummins, Director of Proposition and Strategy at Virgin Mobile, said that the offer would suit the company’s customers who had always been particularly active online.

Speaking on the topic, Cummins added, “In line with … our promise to give more, we're thrilled to be offering our customers the opportunity to enjoy more data on selected plans for the upcoming months with our double data deal.”

However, the company also made it clear that the Christmas offer would be available only for those customers who would sign up by Monday, January 13 next year.

Virgin Mobile’s offer followed a similar offer by Vodafone that will double data allowance for all month-to-month voice plans of $45 & above, as well as all one & two-year contract plans starting $60.
