Virender Sehwag may not play in Finals of Twenty20
Virender Sehwag may not play in Finals of Twenty20 World Cup against Pakistan. The Indian opener suffered from a groin injury during the last match against Australia. Sehwag will undergo a fitness test before a final decision will be made regarding this matter.
Sehwag could not perform well during the last match. In the start, he complained about the problem and was using a runner during his innings. Sehwag could not perform well during the last match and this could also be another reason for dropping him from the team during finals with Pakistan. Sehwag tried his luck in bowling also, but proved to be very expensive in his single over in the match.
Indian team is in a good form and the team manager and captain will not take any chances during the finals for Twenty20 World Cup.
In a statement Indian Captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni said, "Hopefully he should be fine. His fitness will be assessed on the morning of the match."
Yuvraj Singh is showing great performance in this series. Yuvraj has managed to make a good come back in the series by scoring many sixers in matches when India needed it the most.
Dhoni also had to clear a fitness test before playing the semifinal against Australia. S. Sreesanth, Harbhajan Singh and Irfan Pathan will be major attacking bowlers from Indian side.
Indian team has shown very good performance so far and many players are young. The experienced players like Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid and Saurav Ganguly have been left out from the series.
