Videocon VT10 tablet offers several striking features at attractive price tag
Electronics giant Videocon's first Android-based tablet, the Videocon V10, offers some very striking features for an attractive price of Rs 11,200.
The V10 tablets measures 257.3mm by 176mm by 10.3mm in dimensions and features a 10.1-inch capacitive touchscreen display that offers a resolution of 1,280 by 800 pixels. The display allows wider viewing angles, thanks to IPS technology.
It runs Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean), and comes equipped with a 1.5GHz dual core Qualcomm processor, 1GB of RAM, inbuilt storage capacity of 8GB, a microSD card for expanding storage capacity to up to 32GB, and dual cameras - a 2-megapixel camera on the rear plus a sensor of the same quality on the front.
The new tablet jumps out of the box equipped with a 6,800mAh battery, and also preloaded with a number of exciting apps like Facebook, Nexgtv, Nimbuzz and Saavn.
For connectivity, it offers the Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, 3G (via external dongle), and HDMI-Out. However, it doesn't have USB support.
The audio formats that it supports include: MP3, AMR, WAV, WMA and AAC; while the list of video formats that it supports includes MP4, 3GP, AVI, FLV, MOV, MKV, WMV, RMVB, VOB and DAT.
In addition, the tablet will come with a one-year warranty. Videocon is expected to roll out the tablet by mid of January 2013.
