Video of partly fried fish eaten alive becomes YouTube sensation

London, Nov 18 : A shocking video of a partly fried fish being eaten while it is still alive has become an instant rage over the Internet.

The body of the fish is cooked but its head is draped in a wet cloth so that it can breathe.

Thereafter, sauce is poured over it and it is served to a customer in a restaurant.

The clip shows a breathing fish being prodded by chopsticks by diners in China before they dig into it.

The footage that has received over 120, 000 hits on YouTube has been severely criticised by animal rights group PETA as being "disgraceful".

"Every decent person should be shocked when anyone mocks or abuses a helpless dying animal," the Sun quoted a spokesperson, as saying.

According to reports, some Chinese restaurants even serve monkey''s brains apart from rats, dogs, snakes, lizards and baby mice. (ANI)
