Victoria's Secret models Ambrosio, Klum’s secret to toned post-baby bodies
New York, Nov 21: Victoria's Secret models Alessandra Ambrosio and Heidi Klum have done something that remains almost an unattainable task for many new mommies—they got back in their sexy shape just a couple of months after giving birth.
And the miracle has nothing to do with superhuman genes –it’s the women’s trainers who helped them achieve their tight and toned post-baby bodies.
Alessandra Ambrosio lost 20 pounds to get back to her pre-baby shape, while Heidi Klum bounced back to shape in less than two months in 2005.
"We worked out every day. We didn''t have a day off because time was so short," The New York Daily News quoted Leandro Carvalho, New York-based trainer for the newest VS mommy Alessandra Ambrosio, as saying.
And the 27-year-old Brazilian bombshell showed off her toned down body at the annual Victoria''s Secret fashion show last Saturday.
Ambrosio gave birth to her daughter Anja less than three months back, and it was even more difficult for her to get those rock hard abdominals as she’d had a Cesarean section.
"She was limited in the beginning. She could not do crunches, sit-ups, lunges," said Carvalho.
And to lose that flab, Ambrosio did climbing, walking and using ankle weights in the early stages.
An then later went on to do cardio and Carvalho''s own special Brazilian Buttlift workout - a combination of ballet, squats, lunges and capoeira - for two hours a day.
Earlier, in 2005, mother of three, VS Angel Heidi Klum got rid off the excess baby weight in less than two months after giving birth to son Henry.
"It was amazing. She had worked so hard and she looked gorgeous," recalled Manhattan''s David Kirsch, who served as Klum''s trainer.
Kirsch made Klum do the paces with cardio workouts, circuit training and a strict diet, and earned quite a reputation as a post-baby body trainer. (ANI)
