U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission recalls MIM-PI USA girls' vests
It has been reported that the U. S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced a voluntary recall of MIM-PI USA girls' vests due to a strangulation hazard.
The reports also noted that about 80 of the vests, imported from China by MIM-PI USA LLC of Orlando, Fla., were sold nationwide from January 2009 through December 2009 for about $70.
The drawstring on the hooded vests poses a hazard to children, the commission said.
It was further reported that the recall involves vests sizes 2 through 10 sold in blue with pink flowers or black with white polka dots.
According to the officials, consumers were advised to remove the drawstring or return the vest to the retailer for a store credit. (With Inputs from Agencies)
