U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission recalls infant carriers
Due to a fall hazard, the U. S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced a voluntary recall of Regal Lager infant carriers.
It has been reported that about 2,700 infant carriers were imported from China by Regal Lager Inc. of Kennesaw, Ga., and sold nationwide from August 2009 through April 2010 for about $100.
The commission also said that shoulder-strap buckles on the carriers can break, posing a risk to infants.
It has also been reported that the recall involves CYBEX 2 Go infant carriers. The word "CYBEX" is stitched into the fabric of the carriers, which were sold in indigo, purple, slate and chili colors.
The commission officials have advised consumers to stop using the carriers and contact Regal Lager for a free replacement. (With Inputs from Agencies)
