‘Unwilling to join Govt., PML-N is provincial party’

PakistanLahore, Apr. 17 : Criticizing the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz’s decision to not join the federal government, the Pakistan People’s Party has said that the PML-N is a “provincial party.

“If the PML-N joins the federal government, they would become a national party. But the decision shows that they do not want to play their role at national level,” the Daily Times quoted, PPP Central Deputy Information Secretary Sajjad Bukhari, as saying.

PPP leader Naveed Chaudhry said the PML-N should have encouraged politics of reconciliation, adding that such decisions would bring no good to the country.

“PML-N chief Nawaz Sharif was of the view that no single party can run the country,” adding that the PML-N’s decision was not favorable for the country.

Another PPP MPA Tanveer Ashraf Kaira said the decision was not in the country’s interest. “We should work for the betterment of the country,” he said.

Meanwhile, Raja Riaz said the decision would create problems at both national and provincial levels. He urged the PML-N to opt for reconciliation in the larger interest of the country. (ANI)
