Under-fire Musharraf does a Schwarzeneggar, says “Ill be back”!Lahore, Aug. 14 : Mirroring Arnie's iconic lines " I'll be back" from the blockbuster flick "Terminator", former Pakistan President General Pervez Musharraf has said he has no plans to settle abroad and would soon return to his country.

Talking to a private television channel, Musharraf said he would return to Pakistan `when needed.'

Musharraf said he had been busy in the international academic circuit delivering lectures across the globe, and said he would return as soon as his commitments end.

When asked about the case being registered against him for illegally confining senior judges following enforcing emergency in 2007, and facing probable high treason charges, Musharraf said he is ready to face any legal challenge., The Daily Times reports.

It may be noted that lawyers had asked the concerned authorities to register a case against Musharraf and other officials, including the interior minister, interior secretary, chief commissioner, inspector general of police, senior superintendent of police and the deputy commissioner for the former general's November 3, 2007 acts.

A complaint had also been filed in Secretariat police station regarding the detention of the judges in March, 2008.

However, senior police officials said Musharraf and his close aides could not be arrested due to certain constitutional and legal implications.

Officials said they do not have the authority to even question the judges who were illegally confined by Musharraf during the emergency in 2007.

They said all of Musharraf's close aides, who have been made a party in the case, would be approached through the heads of their respective departments. (ANI)
