UK mum reunites with daughter ‘abducted, taken to Pakistan by father’ 3yrs ago London, Dec 29 : A young girl in the UK, who was abducted by her dad three years ago and taken to Pakistan, has been reunited with her mother.

Atiya Anjum-Wilkinson vanished on her third birthday in November 2009 after going to visit her father, Razwan Ali Anjum.

A plane carrying Atiya, now six, landed at Manchester Airport and she was met by specialist officers who talked to her.

Then Atiya and her mum Gemma Wilkinson were reunited for an emotional hug after more than three years apart, the Daily Mirror reports.

Earlier this week, on Christmas Eve, Atiya was located in Lahore with members of her father's family.

And it is believed on Christmas Day Gemma received up to date photos of her daughter.

According to the paper, the girl's dad is still in prison in the UK for repeatedly refusing to say where he had taken her Anjum despite a court order.

He was handed an indeterminate sentence, his fourth consecutive jail term, by a High Court judge in April, the report said. (ANI)
