Two killed, three injured by landmine explosion in Bosnia

Sarajevo - Two people were killed and three injured in a landmine explosion Monday near the central Bosnian town of Visoko, some 30 kilometres north-west of the capital Sarajevo, local police confirmed.

Brothers Asko and Belmedin Hasanovic, 29 and 34-years-old were killed at the local metal-waste storage centre in Dubrave near Visoko while cutting metal waste, which included a landmine.

Their father and two other people, all working in the storage centre, were badly injured in the explosion.

Police were investigating. (dpa)
