Two dead in glider crash in Bosnia
Sarajevo - Two people were killed Thursday when a two-seat glider plane crashed near the central Bosnian town of Olovo, police in the canton of Zenica-Doboj confirmed.
Nedzad Smajlovic, spokesman for the cantonal police, said one person died instantly, while another was badly injured and died during transport to hospital in Sarajevo.
He said police were investigating the crash of the Vivat glider belonging to an aerial sports club in the central Bosnian town of Visoko.
Police said it was too early to speculate about possible causes of the crash.
Just a week ago four foreign troops, two Spanish and two German soldiers serving with the European Union Force (EUFOR) in Bosnia-Herzegovina, died when their helicopter crashed in the hills of north central Bosnia. (dpa)
