Twitter trolls attack American Actress ‘Lena Dunham’
Lena Dunham, an American actress, who has also created as well as acted in a HBO series 'Girls', is facing many twitter trolls lately. Dunham has revealed in Re/code Radio this week that she has decided to stay away from the social networking sites in order to ignore all the mean comments that have been recently posted on her twitter account.
Though she is not active on any of her social account, she has given this responsibility to a friend of hers who will be managing all her accounts, as well as keep the fans updated with Dunham's recent activities.
Dunham said that she didn't want to cut off completely from the social media because she respect and love her fans. She believes that such awful comments are kind of verbal violence that creates a disturbance within a person.
"I can read like 10 mentions that say I should be stoned to death, and kind of laugh and move on, that's verbal abuse. Those aren't words you'd accept in an interpersonal relationship. For me, personally, it was safer to stop", Dunham added.
At some point of time, may be these social networking sites will tackle the problem of online verbal violence. Earlier, Lena Dunham tweeted about disapproval of Justin Bieber's 'What Do You Mean' Lyrics, which could be one of the major reasons of the recent twitter bullies, as per sources.
Dunham did an event with Taylor Swift recently after which, a tweet was posted by a 13-year-old girl on her account that she was looking chubby and Justin Bieber is fans' angel.
