Turkish Airlines to return crash victims' bodies to TurkeyAmsterdam - Turkish Airlines will be flying the bodies of the five passengers who died in a plane crash on Wednesday near Amsterdam back to Turkey, an airline spokesman said Friday.

The transfer of the bodies may possibly take place on Saturday.

Three of the five Turkish nationals who died in Wednesday's crash were crew members.

A total of nine passengers were killed and 121 injured when flight 1951 from Turkish Airlines crashed several hundred metres short of the runway while making its final landing approach at Schiphol Airport in Amsterdam on Wednesday.

Investigations about the cause of the crash are still ongoing. The Dutch Safety Board that conducts the investigations is due to publish its first results early next week. (dpa)
