TTSL ties up with ECI Telecom for fastest ever broadband access network in IndiaThe telecom company operating under the brand name Tata Indicom – Tata Teleservices Limited (TTSL) has announced today that it has tied up with the Israel-based networking infrastructure solutions provider, ECI Telecom, to provide the fastest ever broadband access network up to now in India.

According to the TTSL, the fixed-broadband access network supporting speeds of up to 18 Mbps will be delivered by ECI Telecom, under the tie up agreement.

The TTSL and ECI Telecom deal will result in setting up the fastest ever broadband access network to date in the country. The broadband services supporting a speed of 16 Mbps were launched by Airtel in April.

The TTSL has reported that it will set up an all-IP next-generation network with the help of the celebrated, award winning Hi FOCuS multi-service access node (MSAN) and SR9000 carrier Ethernet switch router (CESR) platforms of the ECI Telecom.

The ECI’s broadband access network solutions have already been installed across eight cities including Hyderabad, Bangalore, Delhi, Ahmedabad, Vizag, Vijayawada, Surat and Baroda. The network solutions have been deployed for the TTSL's 'Photon Pro' network.

The ECI solutions will help to set up the most comprehensive multi-service, IP-based, broadband access networks, capable of supporting next-generation data, video and voice over both fiber and copper infrastructure. The ECI solutions will make the TTSL capable of offering IPTV, video on demand, high speed broadband Internet, VoIP and other bandwidth intensive services.
