Trinidad defeats Somerset by 44 runs
West Indies domestic club, Trinidad and Tobago has defeated English County team Somerset by 44 runs in the second match of the Group A of the T20 Champions League at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bangalore on Monday.
Trinidad skipper Darren Ganga won the toss and elected to bat first. Trinidad scored 150 runs for loss of 9 wickets in their allotted 20 overs. D Ramdin was top scorer for Trinidad who scored 39 runs in 39 balls.
Ganga also batted well and he contributed 23 runs before losing his wicket to M Waller. Chasing target of 151 runs, Somerset bundled out for just 106 runs on the board. Z Bruyn scored unbeaten
43 runs but he did not get any support from the other end. Only two batsmen of Somerset succeeded to reach into double figures as their team collapsed in 20 overs.
D Bravo was pick of the bowler who took four important wickets. Man of the match S Ganga and D Mohammed took two wickets each.
