Toyota Motor to expand its dealership network by 65%Toyota Motor has decided to expand its dealership network by over 65% by the end of 2010 in order to raise its interface with clients.

At present, Toyota has 90 dealerships across country, which it wants to raise to 150 outlets. About 60% outlets will come up in semi-urban and rural locations.

The company plans to expand its network to smaller cities, which includes Allahabad, Srinagar, Shillong, Belgaum, Ambala, Tirupati, Meerut and Patna, before the launch of the small car.

Till date, the company has pumped about Rs 3200 crore in establishment of its second manufacturing facility in Bangalore with an initial production capacity of 70,000 units in order to roll out a ''strategic'' small car by early 2011.

The company registered a growth of 8% in its sales during September at 6,187 units over the same month last year.
