Tornadoes Destroy Oklahoma Mobile Home Park

An Oklahoma mobile home park has been devastated by severe weather in this year's tornado season. Buildings were also damaged by storms across the area.

It has been notified that numerous people were injured. Officials were assessing the damage and because of this, tens of thousands of Oklahoma residents were without power on Thursday.

According to Tulsa County Sheriff's Capt. Billy McKelvey, one person was killed. According to the officials, it is unclear that whether it was a tornado or straight-line winds that hit the park. Tulsa County Sheriff's Capt. Billy McKelvey said it might have been much worse.

According to the Oklahoma Department of Emergency Management, about nine people were hospitalized. It has been believed that about minimum 15 were hurt. In Oklahoma and Arkansas, Tornadoes were seen. It has been reported that a number of mobile home parks in and around the city were largely damaged. Public schools of the city have canceled classes for Thursday.

"Right now, rescue efforts are continuing and officers are aiding the injured and helping those who need immediate medical care. It's very tough conditions right now very touch and go. The conditions my people are working in right now are deplorable at best", said Shannon Clark, with the Tulsa County Sheriff's Office.

According to officials, near Oklahoma City, another tornado touched down outside the town of Moore and there are reports that minimum three people are injured. But no deaths were reported in the area. About 23,000 people in Tulsa County and 2,500 in Osage County were also without power.
