Tibetans hold signature campaign on Human Rights Day in Dharamsala
Dharamsala, Dec 10 : Tibetans living-in-exile in Dharamsala today held a signature campaign to mark the International Human Rights Day.
The NGOs including the Regional Tibetan Youth Congress (RTYC) and Regional Tibetan Women Association (RTWA) held the signature campaign, to draw the attention of United Nation Organisation (UNO) towards their plight.
Sonam, the president of RTYC said that through the signature campaign, they wanted to remind the United Nation about their plight.
" Through this campaign we want to remind the UNO about the ongoing human rights violations and religious violations inside Tibet. We want to tell them that there is a country called Tibet where Human Rights violations are rampant,” she added.
Hundreds of Tibetans gathered on the streets and prayed for human justice not only in Tibet but also worldwide.
"It''s a very important day for us and we want to celebrate human rights and human justice on this day. We want human rights for all the people in the world," said Namgyal.
