Three skiers killed in avalanche in French Alps

Paris  - Three French cross-country skiers have been killed in an avalanche in the French Alps, police said on Sunday.

The three victims, two men and a woman, came from Chambery, and died in the avalanche on Saturday. Police were alerted after other skiers spotted a ski pole sticking out from the snow and reported it.
