Thirty-two injured in Czech bus crash in Austria
Prague - A Czech bus carrying home Slovak teenagers from a school trip to Italy crashed Sunday in southeastern Austria, leaving 32 people injured, Czech reports said.
Three people sustained serious injuries, including a woman who is in a critical condition, Czech Television reported citing medical services.
The bus, which belongs to a Czech company, veered off the highway near the southeastern Austrian city of Gratz and overturned, the CTK news agency said.
The bus carried 48 Slovak secondary school pupils from a western town of Senica, all part of the school tour to Italy, the report said citing Austrian police.
Although the cause of the accident was not clear, Austrian police suspect that the driver fell asleep, the Czech reports said. (dpa)
