Bangkok - Thai shared dropped nearly 3.5 per cent in value Monday in tandem with other Asian markets on worries about the US economy.

The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) index ended at 416.52, down 15 points or 3.48 per cent.

"SET is falling with the rest of Asia," said Phuwadon Larpudomsuk, an analyst at Asia Plus Securities.

"The region is worried about the slowdown in the US economy which has led to plummeting exports for Asia that are likely to continue throughout the first and second quarters," Phuwadon said. (dpa)
