Thai shares down 3.1 per cent following foreign markets
Bangkok - Thailand's bourse fell 3.1 per cent Tuesday, drawn down by foreign markets, analysts said.
The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) index ended at 442.31 points, down 14.13 points, or 3.1 per cent, on a low volume of trade amounting to 8.8 billion baht (258 million dollars).
"Our market is just following the foreign ones," said Mongkol Phuangphaetha, an analyst at Adkinson Securities. "When the bourse opened the foreign markets were down so investors sold. They don't take in to consideration local conditions." (dpa)
