during the Davis Cup Group I Asia/Oceania first round play-off between
India and Indonesia April 5-7.

"The Inaugural General Body of @TennisITPA will be held on 6th April in
Bangalore during the @DavisCup tie #India v Indonesia," tweeted All
India Tennis Association (AITA) vice-president Karti Chidambaram Sunday.

The ITPA was formed Feb 11 and opened its membership to all current and
former international and national tennis players aiming primarily to

The ITPA was built on the premise that the existing structure of tennis
administration does not represent or adequately address contemporary
issues faced by players in the country.

The founding members of the ITPA, including interim president, are
Jaideep Mukerjea, Mahesh Bhupathi, Karti Chidambaram, Enrico Piperno,
Manisha Malhotra, Prahalad Srinath, Somdev Devvarman, Rohan Bopanna,
