Ten Kg RDX recovered in Jammu

Srinagar, May 29 : Security forces recovered ten kgs of RDX today, in Ramban district of Jammu and Kashmir which they claim was intended to trigger blasts during the forthcoming Amarnath yatra.

Troops acted on a tip-off that militants are planning to trigger blasts during Amarnath yatra and are planning to make Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) in this direction, launched a search operation at Khari Bujla area in Banihal tehsil of the district.

The army recovered 10 kgs of RDX, iron nails, pins and some detonators wrapped in two bags near a tree, during the search.
