Aksh Optifibres, maker of cable and optical fibres, has made announcement about the launching of the country’s first Internet Protocol Television without any broadband connection in cooperation with state-run telecom firm MTNL.
Under the brand name of 'icontrol', Aksh would commence its service in Mumbai and Delhi, where MTNL has a strong presence.
The newly launched service lets viewers to manage the content on TV according to their choice. The 'i' in icontrol symbolizes the interactivity factor prevalent in IPTV (Internet Protocol Television).
The company provides its subscribers with more than a 100 channels that includes popular channels from Star and Sony group and sports channels from Neo and Ten Sports.
