BenQ, maker of digital network devices, has made announcement about the launching of 24” widescreen LCD monitor, named V2400W in the Indian market.

The company claimed it to be the world’s slimmest LCG monitor under its category.

Targeting sophisticated and stylish users, the newly launched LCD monitor has been designed to be asymmetrical with aerodynamic curves.

Moreover, theV2400W LCD monitor has a complete mirror-black finish and a slight blue LED, which in turn augments the monitor’s premium look. 

The power-saving properties of CherryPal’s new Linux-based mini-desktop may attract the users but its performance may lead to some concerns.

The CherryPal “cloud computer,” announced on Monday, which is about the size of a paperback book and weighs 10 ounces, uses only 2 watts of power at maximum usage, 97 percent less than typical desktops, claims the company.

But with low power consumption comes limited performance, said Michael Kanellos, senior analyst with GreenTech Media.
