Technology swaps geeky image for favourite hi-tech chic
London, September 13: Aston Martin cars have been named top hi-tech chic of the year by CoolBrands.
While iPod music players were second on the list of top 20 cool items, Internet website YouTube was on third position.
Bang & Olufsen hi-fi got a mention on the fourth place on the list, while the top five was wrapped up by the Google search website.
“The list is a reflection of changing needs, wants and interests. You could argue it’s split into two categories — things that become cool by virtue of their prevalence, like Google. And things you really want but may never get — like a Rolex or a Ferrari,” the Sun quoted Stephen Cheliotis of the CoolBrands Council as saying.
Technology expert Susi Weaser added: “Having the right MP3 player is more important than the right trainers.”
