Los Angeles  - The US governor ousted from office after allegedly trying to sell the Senate seat vacated when Barack Obama was elected president has been cast in a popular reality TV show, according to the Hollywood Reporter Wednesday.

Washington - Former Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich, who was booted from office by the state legislature earlier this year over a series of corruption allegations, pleaded not guilty to the charges in federal court on Tuesday. In a court appearance in Chicago, Blagojevich pleaded not guilty to 16 criminal counts that included racketeering and wire fraud, the US District Court of Northern Illinois confirmed.

Chicago, Jan. 31 : Rod Blagojevich's estranged father-in-law Ald. Dick Mell (33rd) has claimed that he contemplated resigning shortly before the Illinois Senate ousted him as governor. This is in total contradiction of what Blagojevich was telling the public.

Blagojevich's publicist, Glenn Selig, denied Mell's claim. "That is 100 percent not true," Selig said. "He never, ever considered resigning at any time," Selig said.

Washington  - Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich made a final effort to save his job, denying any wrongdoing at his impeachment trial in the state's Senate Thursday and arguing that removing him from office would set a dangerous precedent.

Blagojevich appeared in the Senate for the first time since the body began weighing whether he should be stripped of his job following his December arrest on broad corruption charges, including trying to sell President Barack Obama's vacated US Senate seat to the highest bidder.
