Trinidad (West Indies), Mar. 9 : England's frustration against the West Indies in the ongoing Fifth Test here, was summed up by withering verbal assaults about the pitch and umpires by all-rounder Stuart Broad and left arm spinner Monty Panesar.

Describing the playing surfaces in the West Indies as `terrible' after another barren day in which just three wickets fell in the Fifth Test, The Sun quoted Broad as saying: "It was a frustrating day. We bowled well as a unit and a few chances didn't go to hand and there were a few poor umpiring decisions."

The latest buzz is that pacer Stuart Broad has denied joining the growing list of England cricketers seeking lucrative Indian Premier League deals. The reason behind the decision is Broad's desire to put his energies on international assignments like the Ashes.

While revealing Broad's decision to opt out, England team's managing director Hugh Morris said, "It's a good opportunity for players but it's a good opportunity for us. We've got a very important summer ahead of us with the Twenty20 and the Ashes and this is a decision Stuart has made and we must respect that."

London, Nov 13 : England fast bowler Stuart Broad, who was struggling with a sore knee, has reportedly recovered in time and will feature alongside Jimmy Anderson, Steve Harmison and Andrew Flintoff in the English pace attack in the series against India.

Speaking ahead of the first of the seven-match series, skipper Kevin Pietersen said: "I think our bowling has been pretty special. I think that''s been our strength against South Africa. Certainly since Harmison and Flintoff have come back into the team, they''ve excelled."
