Tata Motors announces a rejig in top managementWith a view to get its cards right before its get all out in the global market, the largest home-grown auto major, Tata Motors has announced a rejig in the top management of the company.

It is to be mentioned here that according to the announcements made by the company, R Ramakrishnan, vice-president (sales & marketing) of commercial vehicle division, has stepped into the role of VP (commercial) passenger cars and will report to PM Telang, managing director of the company’s India operations.

In fact, Niraj Srivastava, regional manager (west) of the commercial vehicle business, is the new head for the car product group, reporting to Mr Ramakrishnan.

However, on the other end, S Krishnan, senior VP (commercial) for passenger car business in India, who reports to Mr Telang, will now look after the international business operations.

Tata Motors spokesperson said that as there is a need to resource the new responsibilities, the company has redeployed senior managers appropriately. It may be recalled here that Rajiv Dube who was looking after the passenger cars business of the company has recently put in his papers.
