Taliban demands two million dollars for safe return of Canadian journalist
Miramshah (Pakistan), Mar. 19: The Taliban has threatened to kill Canadian journalist, Khadeja Abdul Qahaar if their demand of two million dollars is not met by March 30.
A video received by the Miramshah Press Club showed Qahaar appealing the Canada and Pakistan government to help her return safe.
“I am very sick and they (kidnappers) will kill me at the end of March,” the video footage showed Qahaar, as saying.
“Please help me. Please help me. I request my government, human rights organisations and media associations to accept their demands and get me released,” Qahaar said.
Qahaar along with two local guides were abducted from Sera Derga in Janikhel of the Bannu Frontier Region in November last year, The Dawn reports. (ANI)
