Swine Flu alarm is once again echoed in Hyderabad

Swine-FluRecalled last year, swine flu was first noticed in Hyderabad on May 16 and this year it also seems that swine flu is entering the country premises through Hyderabad. A fresh case of swine flu has been found in Andhra Pradesh, the state capital of Hyderabad.

Health Department Authorities state that this year till now four persons have been reported infected from H1N1 Virus in Andhra Pradesh.

Health Department authorities reported that a 43 years old man was diagnosed as positive for swine flu on Friday and has been admitted to ICU of Government General and Chest Hospital at Erragadda.

Dr K Subhakar, Chief Coordinator of Swine Flu Cell at the Chest Hospital, said that the person has been kept in Intensive care unit (ICU) under ventilator and gradually his position in becoming critical. He is kept under observation for 48 hrs.

Health Department authorities also demanded a investigation in India to search out the loop holes in following WHO's policies to fight against swine flu.

It was found that in total 4 people have been reported to get infected by H1N1 Virus in Andhra Pradesh and in this latest case this is the first person who has been admitted to hospital and kept under ventilator apart from this it has been found that two infected persons died of this virus in Andhra Pradesh.

The health Department official said that considering last year data, around 786 persons were tested positive for A (H1N1) influenza virus, while 53 deaths were reported due to swine flu in the state.
