Suzlon and Caparo Energy India enter into a partnership deal
Suzlon Energy has signed partnership agreement with Caparo Energy after receiving an order of 1000 MW wind project from Caparo Energy. As per sources, 500MW of the order will be commissioned by March 2012 and the remaining will be finished by March 2013.
Caparo Energy Limited (CEL) has one subsidiary CEIL, whose main focus is to become one of the top Independent Power Producers (IPP) in India with a power of wind energy.
India is the world's fifth largest wind energy market and CEL found itself fortune to receive a great opportunity to invest as an IPP in this market.
Recently some improvements have been made involving Feed-in Tariffs have been revised, Renewable Purchase Obligation (RPO), Generation-based Initiatives (GBI) and Renewable Energy Certificates (REC), which provide opportunity for value creation using a combination of various revenue options, said by Angad Paul, Non-Executive Chairman - CEL. He further said that getting orders from Suzlon also help the company to become the major wind power IPP.
Suzlon's working as a partner and using its expertise and capability will definitely help CEL to become a major wind player in the India wind power market, said by Mr. Ravi Kailas, Chief Executive Officer - CEL.
