Surya Roshni to establish new manufacturing facility in Madhya Pradesh

Surya Roshni, India’s second major lighting company has decided to establish a new manufacturing facility at Malenpur in Madhya Pradesh (MP). The sources informed that the company will pump Rs 1 billion for the proposed plant.

Sources added that Surya Roshni is also spreading out its Kashipur manufacturing plant in Uttarakhand with an investment of Rs 200 million.

In an official release, the company has informed that it had purchased 48-acre plot at Malenpur for setting up the new plant to produce bulbs, tubes and CFLs.

The sources informed that the new plant will be major galvanized facility in India. This plant, which will be second in Malenpur, will have high mast as well as octagonal pole for outdoor application.

As per reports in media, the conglomerate is also exporting to 45 countries around the world comprising the US and Europe. The company is having two high-tech facilities one each at Kashipur in Uttarakhand and Malanpur in Madhya Pradesh where the entire range of light sources and HID is generated.

Shares of the company closed down Rs 0.6, or 1.06%, at Rs 56.15. The total volume of shares traded at the BSE was 23,120.
