The direct-to-home (DTH) satellite television service provider – Sun Direct has picked two Hindi channels – “Sahara One” and “Sahara Filmy” – from the Sahara basket to add them to its service platform.

The Chennai, Tamil Nadu based Sun Direct has rolled out new plan offering one free top-up pack with the basic pack. The offer allows customers to choose one pack from – Marathi Top Up, Gujarati Top Up, Hindi Movie Top Up – along with the basic packs - Shine Pack (North, Bengali and Oriya), without paying any extra cost.    

The channels included in the Marathi Top Up are “ETV Marathi” and “Zee Marathi”; the Gujarati Top Up includes “ETV Gujarati”; and the Hindi Movie Top Up includes “Zee Cinema”.

According Sun Direct, the two new Hindi channels – “Sahara One” and “Sahara Filmy” – and the scheme of one free top-up pack, with various subscription packs – North Shine Pack (Hindi Entertainment), Bengali Shine Pack (Bengali Entertainment) and Oriya Shine Pack (Oriya Entertainment) will be available across the Sun Direct platform from 1 July, 2009.
