Mobile software developer Streamezzo has announced an interactive digital radio service for mobile devices.

The France-based software publisher said that its media client will now be capable of tuning into terrestrial digital multimedia broadcasting (T-DMB) that will integrate Binary Format for Scenes (BIFS) in compliance with MPEG-4 specification.

T-DMB enabled devices help users’ access information regarding artist or song details while listening to the radio channel.

Other information, which can be transmitted, includes news headlines and weather.

Moreover, listeners to T-DMB radio can also be permitted to buy goods, music, vote on games & programmes as well as send emails and send SMS over the radio airwaves.

To make use of the new function, Streamezzo customers should have a T-DMB enabled phone, such as the ETEN-Glofiish V900.
