Hanover  - German holiday operator TUI is offering a hotel discounts for travellers to this year's carnival festivities in Cologne and Venice.

A night in the four-star hotel "Dorint An der Messe Koeln" costs 78 dollars per person for a double room including breakfast.

A double room in the three star "Ambassado Tre Rose" in Venice starts at 132 dollars per person. The offer is valid from February 13-25 and includes breakfast. (dpa)
