Silverline Technologies acquires Canadian firm Omega Direct Response
Silverline Technologies, an IT and BPO services company, has acquired Canadian-firm, Omega Direct Response, a global provider of customer interaction and management services for an undisclosed amount.
OMDR, formerly known as Omega Direct Responses, specializes in inbound, outbound and multilingual customer service.
Ravi Subramanian, Chairman, Silverline Technologies said, "This acquisition puts Silverline to be a contender in the service management space and well positions itself well to realise its fiscal 2008 goals of becoming a leading player of technology-enabled service management solutions, globally."
Established in 1997, OMDR sells outsourced call center services. Over the last 10 years, the company has had over 65 million customer interactions with an employee base of over 850 personnel. The Company delivers its services out of Call centers in Toronto and Sudbury Ontario, Canada in Zacatecas, Mexico, leveraging a common platform and infrastructure across all sites.
Omega Direct has plans to establish a facility at Gandhinagar and Chennai, India leveraging which it aims to be able to extend its far-shore support to its global clients and new service support to the other customers wishing to explore new service delivery options.
The Silverline Technologies stock closed today at Rs. 132 on BSE. It touched an intraday high of Rs. 145 and low of Rs. 131.
