Sydney, Feb 7 : Peter Siddle has claimed Australian fast bowlers are more than capable of toppling Indian batsmen on their own home turf to win their upcoming four-match Test series.

Three-quarters of the wickets during England''s historic series win in India recently fell to spin, but Australian fast bowler Peter Siddle is predicting a pace-led quest for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, the Sydney Morning Herald reports.

 As the first group of Test players departed for Chennai on Thursday, Siddle said Australia must play to its strength in order to replicate the series success of 2004, which was built around disciplined fast bowling, it added.

In the pace party of Siddle, James Pattinson, Jackson Bird, Mitchell Johnson and Mitchell Starc, he believes Australia has the artillery to repeat the efforts of Glenn McGrath, Jason Gillespie and Michael Kasprowicz in 2004 with Shane Warne relegated to a support role.

Siddle said the best way of attacking India is with whatever team's best line-up is, and he added the way Australia has won Test matches for years has been with their pace.

 Siddle added pace is going to play a big role in India, adding incumbent off spinner Nathan Lyon is also going to play a big role at the other end and his game is going to flourish even more with the pressure we build at our end.

The quick added that the balanced combination of pace and spin attack would enable Australia to take 20 Indian wickets, adding the team is strong and they have got a good set of pace men going over along with a good back up for Lyon in the spin department. (ANI)
