Nagarjuna Fertilizers & Chemicals disclosed a small decline in its standalone net profit for the first quarter ended June 2008. During the quarter, the profit of the company declined 1.51% to Rs 70.42 million from Rs 71.50 million in the same quarter, last year.

The company reported earnings of Rs 0.16 per share during the quarter, posting 5.88% rejection over previous year period.

Net sales for the quarter climbed 44.37% to Rs 4,335.54 million, whereas total income for the quarter jumped 45.01% to Rs 4,377.11 million.
