Belgrade - Serbian Minister of Justice Snezana Malovic gave birth to a baby girl on Friday and plans to return to work soon, Belgrade media reported Saturday.

"I won't be long gone. After my first child, I was absent for only two weeks. The Ministry will work as usual while I'm gone " Malovic told journalists days before the birth.

The 32-year-old Malovic is the first woman in Serbia to head the Justice Ministry and is also the youngest minister in the government. dpa
