Seattle man accused to bring roosters to Washington for cock fighting
Records have indicated that a Seattle man has been accused of spending $1,650 to bring roosters to Washington for the purpose of cock fighting.
Seattlepi. com reported on Wednesday that Hoa Kien Phan, 29, was charged with one count of animal fighting.
They discovered between 20 and 30 birds, including ducks, chickens and roosters, tied to teepees in the backyard of Phan's home Dec. 11, investigators have said.
Seattlepi. com also reported that they said they found one dead rooster and another with a damaged right eye.
Seattle Police Detective Danial Conine told the court that the investigators pointed to Phan's Internet history, which showed Phan allegedly frequented cockfighting-related websites.
Seattlepi. com further said that the charge against Phan follows earlier, apparently unrelated, charges against a number of King County men accused in cockfighting rings.
